Patients who require dentures often worry about their teeth slipping, becoming loose, or falling out while performing normal activities like talking and eating. Traditional dentures were developed to provide comfort and aesthetic appeal but recently, there has been an increased demand for overdentures as patients feel they are more solid and secure without the risk of slipping or falling out of the mouth. Overdentures are removable dentures that click or snap onto 2-4 dental implants. Because only a limited number of implants are needed, an overdenture can be a very economical way to achieve a sturdy and solid set of teeth.
